Wendy Bartlett won second prize in 2007 at the San Francisco Writers Conference for her book Cellini’s Revenge, The Mystery of the Silver Bowls. With the prize,part of which was a publishing package, she published first Broad Reach, a sailing adventure, and two years later, Cellini’s Revenge. Since then, Cellini’s Revenge II is in the process of being published and Cellini’s Revenge III is in the process of being written. An editor told Wendy that Good-bye With a Kiss, her most recent manuscript, might make a good film. Wendy is writing the screenplay for it.
Wendy started singing and writing folk songs in her teens. She has always written poetry and has had some poems published in the San Francisco Writers Conference and Redwood Writers Anthologies. She has written, illustrated and published a few children’s books,and also writes YA and adult novels. Wendy is interested in the Indie publishing world and is a member of BAIPA and IBPA. Her daughter, Elizabeth Stark, is a traditionally published writer and a well-respected online writing teacher and also teaches writing in person in the Bay Area. (http//:BookWritingWorld.com).
